When manufactured discs don’t meet Prodigy’s quality standards, they are stamped with “Prodigy X.” These discs are then sold at a discount — saving you money. These distance drivers may be X’d out for a number of reasons, poor dye, poor stamp, or slight blemish, but should not affect flight characteristics.
We haven’t been able to see many differences between the Prodigy factory seconds and misprints, and the normal production discs. If you want to try the great Prodigy discs, but don’t want to pay a premium price, cheap X-out drivers are the way to go.
